  4. 1. Select START then FIND, then FILES OR FOLDERS.
  5. 2. In the "named" box enter QTW.INI and press find.   Once the
  6.    file has been found, double click on it's icon. Notepad will
  7.    load and display the contents of this file.
  8. 3. In the [VIDEO] section the "optimize" option needs to be
  9.    changed to one of the following:-

  11. Optimize=hardware
  12. Optimize=BMP
  13. Optimize=Driver
  14. Optimize=Raw
  15. Or
  16. Optimize=Dib
  17.  
  18. Start with "hardware", save the file, reboot your computer
  19. (Start, shutdown, restart) and try again.

  21. If the program still fails, then you will need to try the next
  22. option, "BMP" etc.   until the program functions correctly.

  24. 4. Having tried all of the above options and finding the
  25.    program still doesn't function then the Video acceleration
  26.    will need to be turned down.   Select START, then SETTINGS,
  27.    then CONTROL PANEL,  then SYSTEM, then PERFORMANCE, then
  28.    GRAPHICS, and slide the acceleration to NONE.
  29. 5. If the program functions correctly, then you can slowly slide
  30.    the setting up until you get the maximum setting without the
  31.    program locking up.
  32. 6. If the program still fails with hardware acceleration set to
  33.    a minimum then there may be a program running in the
  34.    background which is conflicting with the operation of the
  35.    program.
